Kennington Summer Fayre

There has been a summer fair in Kennington for at least two hundred years - the Kentish Gazette for 2nd July 1793 advertise the fair that year as being on 5th July.

In its current form, the fair usually takes place on the last Saturday in June, on the Recreation Ground in Ulley Road. It raises thousands of pounds for voluntary and not-for-profit groups in the area, and is a free, fun event for all the family.

The next Fayre will be on Saturday 29 June 2024, from 12 - 4pm.

Could you TOAST (Take On A Simple Task) and help local charities raise thousands of pounds?

Or perhaps more than one task? The Core Group of the Kennington Summer Fayre needs new blood.

Ahead of the Fayre on Saturday 29 June 2024, we need people to come to the action-oriented monthly meetings, take on some of the tasks needed to make the Fayre a success and get them done in your own time.

Anyone with a practical results-oriented approach will be very welcome.

Why not come to one meeting and give it a try?
